Be a Speaker at FWPPA
Fort Worth PPA welcomes speaker applications for our monthly meetings (held on the second Wednesday of each month) as well as for workshops offered throughout the year. Speaking at FWPPA is a meaningful way to share your knowledge, connect with fellow photographers and creatives, and contribute to the growth of our community while extending your personal growth.
If you’re interested in being considered as a speaker for an upcoming meeting or workshop, please complete the form below. This information helps us better understand your educational offerings, presentation requirements, and the materials needed to promote your program.
Credentials: Speakers with PPA degrees (M.Photog., M.Artist-especially for photographic related topics), or other advanced credentials are preferred (extensive speaking experience, references, etc.). Occasionally we have speakers for non-photographic content and the selection committee will do its best to assess speaker credibility based on available information including credential info provided in the speaker packet.
Format: Monthly meeting speaking engagements are typically 90 mins, in lecture or lecture/demo format. Workshops can be a full 1-day or a 2-day weekend engagement, with lecture, demo, and hands-on practical education.
Compensation: Speakers may earn PPA speaking and service merits, and some financial compensation may be available. We ask you to specify your requirements below. As with many organizations, financial resources have to be managed responsibly and available compensation may vary.
Selection: After submitting the form, you will receive a confirmation that your application has been received. Proposals are reviewed by the board based on current needs, availability, and program fit. If there is an opportunity that aligns, a board member will reach out to discuss next steps.
